Here is the wonderful video from BluePhoto Wedding Photography of Lisa and TJ's wedding in Paso Robles!

20111001-Lisa-and-TJ-Wedding from www.bluephoto.biz on Vimeo.

What a beautiful day! There's nothing quite like a wine country wedding.  Here are some of my favorite details from their wedding:

:: table place cards were pumpkins with tags attached [i heart fall] :: cocktail hour featured comfort food appetizers [fried macaroni and cheese balls, elegant mini corndog skewers, tiny sliders] :: aisle was covered with white rose petals, and lined with eclectic gourds and pumpkins :: mercury, amber, and antique mismatching glass vases made up their centerpieces [with artichokes, succulents, fall leaves, and orangey flowers enclosed - GORGEOUS.] :: lisa found most of her favorite little details on etsy.com [way to support the little people!] :: bridesmaids gifts were handmade purses [also from etsy] that represented each bridesmaid's personality, chosen by the bride :: orange + teal/seafoam green color scheme. GENIUS. :: going away treat for the guests = warm donut holes with cartons of milk :: table numbers were little chalkboard signs hung on the necks of empty wine bottles ::

fifty fiesta!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while - I've been doing THIS:

Fifty Fiesta

My mom and dad have the same birthday (cool, right?) - and since my dad was recovering from back surgery during his 50th birthday, we decided to make a joint 50th birthday celebration when my mom turned 50 (3 years later).  So, here it is!

[fun details: votive-shaped holes were cut out of fruit to make for a beautiful decorative accent :: nacho cheese flowed out of a fondue fountain, and guests dipped tortilla chips, empanadas, flautas, and jalapeƱo poppers :: luminarias were made with baby pictures of the "birthday boy and girl" printed on vellum, with candlelight showing through as the sun set :: guests wrote birthday wishes on small cards and hung them from twine with a clothespin :: sangria, coronas, dulce de leche, churros, and a taco bar made up part of the menu, as did homemade cinnamon chips and fruit salsa]
